Background:
Covid-19 pandemic is rambling the world. It has greatly restricted the economy and social life all over the world. Many officials have responded by declaring stay-at-home orders & state of emergency.

According to opposition party leaders, civic organizations, and media groups, the Ethiopian government is taking advantage of the Covid-19 pandemic state of emergency to push its dictatorial dangerous policy. If any of the concerns or accusations are to be true, it should concern anyone that cares about human rights, rule of law, and democracy

Event Purpose:
We want to emphasize the need to have a political dialog with all parties including citizens who are concerned about the state of the country. If a political solution does not come about before legally mandated date according to the Ethiopian constitution, the legislative branch of the government, as well as the executive branch of the government might be in great danger in just a few weeks, at the end of their terms, which is on June 30. Most legal experts express the government after Jun 30 is technically and logically illegitimate and has no consent of the people. The objectives of the conference are:
– To create public awareness
– Expose, name and shame human rights violence
– Document and disseminate human rights violations committed by Ethiopian government
– To help Ethiopian people in the struggle of corona pandemic and envision now and futureAt the end of the conference OLLAA and the participants will pass a resolution send to different states and international NGOs.
