OLLAA 2022 Annual Report

OLLAA has published our 2022 Annual Report providing a compendium of all our publications over the past year, plus a foreword from OLLAA Executive Director, Seenaa Jimjimo.

Since OLLAA was formed in 2016, our core mission has been to raise Oromo voices and be a force for human rights, women’s rights, and indigenous OLLAA has worked tirelessly over the past 12 months to tell the too-often overlooked stories of the Oromo; to share the plight and tragedy facing millions. We have advocated for more global attention and responses to the human rights violations taking place, including participating in high-level meetings with the United Nations International Commission of Human Rights Experts on Ethiopia (ICHREE), with government bodies, the United Nations, the US State Department, civil society organizations, and much more. Much of this advocacy work takes place behind the scenes, but it is this essential work that keeps the Oromo present in global conversations. In the following report, you will find a comprehensive compilation of OLLAA’s publications over the past year. While this only represents half of the work we do, the articles, press releases, events, and more that you will find here are the result of countless hours of work, expertise, and a true passion for human rights and the Oromo people.
