Falls Church, Virginia (October 5, 2023) – The Oromo Legacy Leadership and Advocacy Association (OLLAA) extends its congratulations to Mr. Ervin Jose Massinga who was sworn in as the new US Ambassador to Ethiopia yesterday. OLLAA is pleased with his designation and eagerly anticipates ongoing collaboration with Ambassador Massinga.
OLLAA highly appreciates and values Ambassador Massinga’s engagement with various communities, dedication and contributions towards promoting peace in Ethiopia during his tenure as the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of African Affairs. We are hopeful that he will carry forward the same commitment and determination in his current position. OLLAA and the Oromo community are also grateful to have met Ambassador Massinga and we look forward to continuing our relationship and advancing shared interests.
At a time where civilians in Ethiopia are suffering from the effects of war, in addition to a climate and humanitarian crisis, Ambassador Massinga steps into his role at a crucial time.
