OLLAA has received a confirmed media report of targeted killings occuring in the Benishangul-Gumuz region against ethnic Oromos. This verified report states that on October 13th in the Dibate district of the Metekel region, an unidentified number of Oromos were wounded and killed in an attack alleged to have been carried out by Amhara-affiliated militias.
Furthermore, according to a Kello Media report, the killings of innocent Oromos continues to happen on a daily basis in various zones of Gumuz.

Recent media reports suggest that Amhara militias have crossed over to the Oromia and Benishangul Gumuz regions and are allegedly killing and displacing innocent people. The verified report received by OLLAA suggests that ethnic Oromo civilians are being targeted by Amhara militias who are backed by the federal government of Ethiopia in the name of restoring peace and order and defending federal government interests against rebels.

The confirmed report received by OLLAA alleges that on October 13th, 2021, the following individuals were cruelly killed in the Dibate and Kamashi districts of the Metekel and Kamashini Zones, respectively.
