World Refugee Day

Twitter Campaign

World refugee day focuses on the power of inclusion and the right to seek safety. Oromos have traveled over oceans, deserts, and land in search of a better future. Many say they would never leave if it was not for the circumstances of Ethiopia and the constant oppression of Oromos. Oromos have been seeking refuge in other countries for generations and many have established themselves but the road they took to get there is one we should not forget. As we celebrate the refugees that have found refugee in these better places let’s not forget the ones that are locked in refugee camps waiting for their better day. Tweet with us today to not only celebrate world refugee day but spread awareness about the many in detention centers living in unforeseen circumstances hoping they too can be celebrated.
