Join the OLLAA Teams mentoring program to get training in Education, Tech Support, Social Media, and Advocacy. The program is a three-month mentorship program where you will gain skills in structuralized, often one-to-one settings in the listed fields. Once the three-month is over you will join a panel of mentees in a workshop to present your learning experience in the department you were mentored in. Upon completion, you will receive a certificate of completion, and/or volunteer hours or letter of recommendation (if needed).

Education:
- Provide educational expertise in designing, developing, and implementing policies and programs for learning resources portfolio, that will support and advance learning and instruction in the context of twenty-first-century teaching and learning
- Lead the development, renewal, and implementation of projects that support twenty-first-century teaching and learning approaches to strengthen and improve ongoing quality student learning and achievement within the education system
- Work collaboratively with various individuals to build alignment, coherence, and understanding of OLLAA policies, programs, and research, resources, and strategies in support of Afaan Oromo, Gada system, and history class learners
- Improving reading and writing skills
Technical Support:
- Provide assistance and maintenance to all computer systems and hardware.
- Work may include installing, configuring, and updating hardware and software, as well as fixing any issues that may come up daily.
- Ensuring the platform’s grammar and punctuation, along with content is credible, accurate, and update
- Data analysis
Social Media:
- Create & oversee content that is visually appealing and follows OLLAA’s guidelines on Facebook, Twitter, & Instagram, and Youtube
- Creates marketing and social media campaigns and strategies, content ideation, and implementation schedules.
- Measure the effectiveness & success of social media campaigns
- Ensures brand consistency in marketing and social media messages by working with various company department members, including the teaching team, advocacy team, etc.
- Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies, attend educational virtual conferences and training
- Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimization
- Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network
- Maintaining consistent social media presence
Advocacy:
- Ensure that they are up to date with Oromo cause, politics, protest, and media narrative
- Join OLLAAs Advocacy Task Force in ensuring the Oromo narrative is never forgotten or lost
- Establish meetings with government officials and maintain consistent communication by send up to date credible articles and OLLAAs press releases
- Meeting with various communities, youth, and media to stay mobilized and consistently contacting the local government officials
- Working on press releases, campaigns, protests, rallies, virtual advocacy training, or conferences
- Devises ways of reaching those who could use the organization’s assistance and offering the help needed
- Educating and collaborating with Oromo and non-Oromo organizations on related advocacy issues
